On Saturday 4th March, 2017 a very successful SBUG 20th Anniversary celebration and SOLA fundraiser was held at the Butter Factoty Restaurant. About sixty people attended and we were pleased to see some of the original members including Terry Threlfall, Naomi Spencer, and Duncan Marshall attend. These “originals” were each awarded a certificate of appreciation for the role they played in starting the BUG. Also present was Council representative Councillor Nina Cheyne and SOLA Operations Manager Julianna Skeels and one of their employees Brett, all of whom gave addresses. BUG stalwart Tom McDonald also gave a very interesting talk on the history of the BUG, and attendees were entertained by a continuous slide show of thousands of photos and videos that had been taken over the years.
