“Working with our staff and volunteers, most of whom are well known to him, Alex will be able to lead BNSW and work inclusively with the Board, our major stakeholders such as the Bicycle User Groups, state and local government and our sponsors to build on our recent successes and fulfil our new strategy.
“Alex has spent the past eighteen months traveling – on a bike mostly, which has given him fresh insights you don’t get when caught up in the hurly burly of running an organisation like BNSW. As anyone who has worked in the not for profit sector will attest, it is a challenging environment. We are delighted that Alex has returned to the fold, refreshed and rejuvenated to bring his vast experience and knowledge of cycling, the environment and transport to his role as our new CEO”.
