Ride in Booderee National Park this Sunday with Shoalhaven BUG
Last Sunday Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group met for an easy ride from Huskisson to Greenfields Beach and return. Seven riders met at the Huskisson Hotel car park, a couple had started at the Falls Creek Rural Fire Station, and then rode along the shared path to Vincentia, Plantation Point and on to Greenfields Beach. The weather was warm with very little wind, perfect riding conditions and excellent views of Jervis Bay. On the return journey the riders enjoyed refreshments at the Bayside Bakery, Vincentia before continuing back to Huskisson. A couple of the riders had a refreshing swim in the bay to cap off a nice morning ride.
Last Wednesday nineteen riders turned up for the bike ride to Comerong Island ferry and return. The weather was cool with some dark clouds threatening but skies cleared later in the morning . This weekly ride is an easy paced ride with no hills, good for those riders getting back to cycling after a break. Significant traffic is usually encountered along Terara Road so not really a ride for beginners. The riders meet at North Nowra SOLA Café after the ride for refreshments.
