SBUG Ride to Coolendel Lookout this Sunday

This Sunday, SBUG invites you to join them on a fabulous mountain bike ride to Coolendel Lookout. The ride starts at 9:00am from the Nowra Visitor Centre, Pleasant Way, Nowra. This ride provides spectacular views of the Shoalhaven River and Coolendel camping ground from the lookout. For a shorter ride of 15km, and to avoid some long climbs, there will be a second starting point at the intersection of Bugong Road and Emerys Road at 10:15am. All visitors to the Shoalhaven are very welcome to join the ride!

Last Thursday 14 cyclists including two visitors from Sydney enjoyed an action packed mountain bike adventure in the Currambene State Forest, riding from Worrigee to Myola and Callala Beach and return. The riders used the more difficult Red track, where extra skill and concentration were required to negotiate a few very wet and slippery patches of the track. Only one rider took an involuntary dip in a mud puddle nearing Myola. A refreshing and cleansing dip in Jervis Bay was had at Callala Beach, prior to a well earned coffee break. Another satisfying ride for our mountain bikers.

Don’t forget the the first SBUG social event for 2015. Paul Taylor is organising a great night out at the Tuscany Woodfire Restrauntant on the 23 January. For more details see the notice in “Breaking News”.

Last Sundays ride the HMAS Albatross was cancelled due to rain.
