Riders Enjoy Breakfast in Berry

Last Sunday seven riders rode to Berry for breakfast. The ride left the Nowra Visitors Centre under threatening skies which continued for most of the ride but luckily the riders enjoyed a pleasant ride to Berry and back without encountering any rain. The group had breakfast at the Book Shop Café with the usual excellent service.

Last Thursdays Midweek Mountain Bike ride was attended by 12 riders who enjoyed a classic mountain bike ride in the Currambene State Forest to Callala Bay and back, on a clear, sunny, cool morning. The group encountered sections of mud and deep water holes along some of the tracks. Good food and drinks were leisurely consumed, in warm sunshine, at Gusto’s Cafe Callala Bay. On the return ride the cyclists ventured along a winding single lane track, parallel to Forest Road which came out on East Stump Road. A mix of old and new trails, providing another great adventure, with only a few minor falls and lots of technical thrills.

SBUG’s next social outing will be to the “ABBA Show” on Saturday 30 May, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. If you are interested in joining SBUG members to see this show you should contact Paul Taylor on 02 4446 1052 as soon as possible.

On Wednesday 22 April the ride to Comerong Island Ferry has been cancelled. This ride will now be to the the Albatross Museum. The ride will start at the SCC Information Centre at 8 am and will go to the Albatross Museum/Café to have coffee/morning tea. Tom McDonald is keen for us to try out the cafe as it is in operation again. Hope to see you on this ride!
