Last Thursday seven cyclists rode to Upper Kangaroo River and back. Two riders enjoyed a dip in the rock pool before heading back to Kangaroo Valley .The ride started in fog, but soon cleared to a clear, blue sky morning, allowing spectacular views of the escarpment and slow flowing river. A leisurely refreshment break was taken in Kangaroo Valley after the ride at a pleasant cafe under a giant oak tree.
Last Sunday Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group met for a ride in the Booderee National Park. Four riders participated in the ride including one new rider. The cyclists rode to Caves Beach, then along a fire track to Wreck Bay Road, and along Stony Creek Road to reach the Lighthouse Ruins. After a snack and rest to take in the fabulous rugged coastal views, the ride continued to Murrays Beach via the headland track. Two riders took a refreshing swim in the clear warm turquoise water of Jervis Bay, before it was time to head back to the cars.
