Join SBUG for an ANZAC Day Ride this Saturday

The Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group offers keen cyclists an ANZAC morning ride this Saturday 25 April. Scenic rides to Greenwell Point leave the Nowra Tourist Information Center at 7.00 am and 8.00 am returning to Nowra in time for the ANZAC ceremony at the Nowra War Memorial at 10.30 am or join with friends for coffee at a Nowra cafe. For more information about the ANZAC morning rides read the details below.

Last Sunday nine riders attended the Lake Illawarra ride on a cool but rain free morning. The group started from Boonerah Point Reserve, Mount Warrigal, on the south eastern side of the lake and rode a 40km circuit around Lake Illawarra before returning to the ‘Cup of Love’ café for well earned refreshments.

On last Thursdays Midweek Mountain Bike ride 13 riders cycled from the Currarong Shops to Point Perpendicular, on a beautiful warm sunny morning. The riders stopped to admire panoramic views to the south, west and east from various observation areas along the route. On the return journey, the group rode down to Long Beach and along the beach and road, to Cabbage Tree Beach where many enjoyed a cool dip in Jervis Bay. After the ride a leisurely coffee break was had at ‘Zac’s Place’ Currarong, while taking in the views.

SBUG’s next social outing will be to the “ABBA Show” on Saturday 30 May, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. If you are interested in joining SBUG members to see this show you should contact Paul Taylor on 02 4446 1052 as soon as possible.
