SBUG ENJOY NOWRA TREE ADVENTURE!
Last Sunday the club enjoyed a great Off-road ride through Booderee National Park last Sunday – visiting the Lighthouse Ruins, Devils Elbow and passing spectacular ocean views from the cliff-tops. We didn’t mind slowing for some Eastern Greys, also enjoying the beautiful autumn weather on the way. Re-caffeineation and lunch was enjoyed at Vincentia bakery afterwards.
Thursday’s Midweek Mountain Bike ride saw ten cyclists (all blokes) ride to Shoalhaven Heads via Comerong Island. The tide was unsuitable for riding on the beach in either direction and the beach itself is badly eroded by the recent big seas. The ride finished with coffee at “Tabletalk” cafe at Shoalhaven Heads, then returned by the same route.
SBUG’s next social outing will be to the “ABBA Show” on Saturday 30 May, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. If you are interested in joining SBUG members to see this show you should contact Paul Taylor on 02 4446 1052 as soon as possible.
Last Wednesday ten BUG members enjoyed an afternoon at the Nowra Tree Adventure within the Shoalhaven Zoo. The professional staff ensured we had a very enjoyable but challenging time outside of our comfort zone, utilising flying foxes and other equipment to move around the tree tops of the zoo. Many of us discovered muscles we rarely used but a great time was had by all.
Prospective and current members are reminded that membership applications and renewals can now be made through or website. Any renewals or application made now will carry through to the end of June 2016.
