Next Sunday, 26th October, Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group (SBUG) will be riding to Bamerang Dam. The ride will be 30km return, at a moderate pace, some traffic will be encountered on sealed and unsealed roads. Mountain bikes are required. The ride starts at 9:00am from Nowra Visitors Centre. Last Sunday seven riders rode to Coolendel Lookout in the Bugong National Park. Three riders started from Nowra and another four joined the group at the junction of Bugong Road and Emerys Road, Bugong. The weather was fine and warm under a cloudless sky. The group enjoyed a drinks break at the lookout high above the Shoalhaven River and the Coolendel camping ground with spectacular views of the river winding its way through forest and farmland.

Last week a group of around twenty riders ventured to Myrtleford in Victoria for a few days riding in the Myrtleford, Beechworth, Bright area. This area is well known for its rail trails (old railways converted to cycle/walking trails) between Wangaratta, Bright and Beechworth and for its excellent wineries and other tourist attractions. The group had some great rides and social time in this very picturesque part of Victoria. Thanks to Les and Anne for organising the trip.
