RIDE TO WERRI BEACH NEXT SUNDAY WITH SBUG
Last Sunday, despite the extreme wind, two BUG riders did a new ride from Berry to Shoalhaven Heads. The ride left the heads along Coolangatta Road, Agars Lane, took a loop to Moyen Hill reserve to include some off road, through to Berry then and back to Shoalhaven Heads via the Stone Gallery and some local bush tracks. After this new and enjoyable ride, the cyclists met with friends at the Table Talk Cafe for coffee and socialising.
Last Thursday’s mountain bike ride four cyclists road out to the Bamarang reserve and to Long Pt lookout, on a fine sunny, windy morning. The views were clear and picturesque, though the trails were a little wet in places. One cyclist developed mechanical failure half way through the ride, and had to return to Nowra on a fixed gear. The remaining three riders completed the scenic trip, and enjoyed hot drinks at the Uni Campus Cafe.
SBUG’s next social outing will be to the “ABBA Show” on Saturday 30 May, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. If you are interested in joining SBUG members to see this show you should contact Paul Taylor on 02 4446 1052 as soon as possible.
