Antonio Corral has been cycle touring the world for several years and has made his second visit to Nowra to ride with Shoalhaven BUG. Antonio rides a recumbent tricycle which he is able to partly fold to allow travel on trains and other transport. His tricycle is ‘state of the art’ with independent suspension, disc brakes, internal hub gears and even a aerodynamic shade/weather umbrella. He previously lived in London and has cycled in most countries in Europe and also Iceland. On his last visit to Australia he cycled from Sydney to Melbourne and along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria before riding around Tasmania. Antonio is enjoying his stay in North Nowra with one of our SBUG members and expects to be in Nowra for another couple of weeks before moving on to explore other parts of Australia and possible New Zealand.

Next Sunday, 21 December, Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group will be holding their Christmas Lights ride. A casual ride to view properties decorated with Christmas lights in the North Nowra area. The ride has the following classification; 20km loop / Slow pace / Easy ride / Child Friendly / On road / Some Traffic. The ride starts at 8:30pm from the North Nowra Shops. Bike lights are essential. Contact: Peter (02) 4446 0119 or Judi (02) 4421 5214

Last Sunday three riders rode from Bomaderry to Berry, via Bolong, Back Forest and Coolangatta Roads, for a social get together and dinner. The riders met ten other SBUG members and friends at Mezzadella’s Pizza Restaurant for a very pleasant evening.

The Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group wishes all of its members and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy your rides over the holiday period, obey the road rules and stay safe.
