Cycle Sussex Inlet this Sunday with SBUG

Last Thursday 11 riders enjoyed another great mountain bike ride in the Booderee National Park, cycling from the Hyams Beach turnoff, to Caves Beach for a swim. Using a bush track off Naval College Road to join Ellmoos Road and stopping for a snack at the Lone Pine reserve, on Sussex Inlet. After a short break the group rode through the bush to the beach and along the sand, in perfect low tide conditions, to reach Caves Beach. The day was warm, sunny and calm for refreshing dip in the ocean to cool-down. An interesting side track took most of the riders to a fire tower behind the Botanic Gardens, for great panoramic views. Refreshments were taken at our favourite Bayview Cafe in Vincentia.

Last Sunday 4 riders enjoyed the ride to Coolendel Lookout. The day was warm and clear with great views over the Shoalhaven river and Coolendel camping ground.

Don’t forget the the first SBUG social event for 2015. Paul Taylor is organising a great night out at the Tuscany Woodfire Restrauntant on the 23 January. For more details see the notice in “Breaking News”.
