Last Wednesday, 22nd April, the scheduled ride to Albatross Aviation Museum and café was called off due to inclement weather. But that didn’t stop a group of SBUG members from meeting at the café followed by a tour of the excellent museum. The tour was lead by SBUG Patron and Navy veteran Tom McDonald who treated us to a most informative and entertaining time.
Last Thursdays Midweek Mountain Bike ride was attended by 8 riders who enjoyed a ride to Hylands Lookout, on an overcast then sunny, warm morning. The ride was via Parma Road, Braidwood Road, Hell Hole fire trail, Turpentine Road and Deans Gap Road. The return journey included a good long downhill on Braidwood Road. The panoramic view from the lookout was very rewarding, as was the refreshment break back at the Albatross Aviation Museum cafe.
SBUG’s next social outing will be to the “ABBA Show” on Saturday 30 May, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre. If you are interested in joining SBUG members to see this show you should contact Paul Taylor on 02 4446 1052 as soon as possible.
