RIDE BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK AND LIGHTHOUSE RUINS THIS SUNDAY
Next Sunday, 9 November, Shoalhaven Bicycle User Group (SBUG) will be riding in to the ruined lighthouse in Booderee National park, a return distance of 30km. This ride has the following classification; Moderate pace / Medium difficulty / Some traffic / Unsealed roads / Mountain bikes are required. The ride starts at 09:00am from the intersection of Jervis Bay Road and the Hyams Beach access road. The route is via Jervis Bay Road, Wreck Bay Road and Stony Creek Road to the ruined lighthouse then a very scenic ride to Governor Head, Murray’s Beach and return along Jervis Bay Road. There are a few small hills along the way but worth the ride for spectacular views of the Tasman Sea and Jervis Bay. Bring water and snack food. Coffee will be at Vincentia after ride. Contact Peter (02) 4446 0119 or Judi (02) 4421 5214.

Last Sunday a group of six riders had a delightful ride to Vincentia leaving from the Falls Creek Rural Fire station. A large portion of the ride was along the shared path with a small section closed due to the scheduled triathlon. Some roads were also closed, which made for a very pleasant traffic free bike ride to Vincentia. The weather was fine, excellent for cycling. After a relaxing coffee break at Vincentia the group made their way back to the Fire Station.
